Annihilating all that's made
To a green thought in a green shade.

-- Andrew Marvell (1621 - 1678) "The Garden" [1650 - 1652]

The quiet eucalpyus grove, dark and cool, jealously allows nothing to grow within but itself. Carpeted with strips of bark and fallen leaves, susseration of leaves and soft dry creaking of branches shuts out the world. A good place to read, though the peaceful cathedral dimness lends itself more to reverie than study.

Set adrift on a sea of dreams, the unmoored mind floats through visions of futures vague and wondrous; tomorrows tumble and coalesce like fat summer clouds, then all disperses into thin transparent air and the dreamer makes fast her gossamer ship in the port of today and its never-finished work.
