Could old William Tell, hero of a thousand tales, take aim at this apple-for-the-teacher and split it half in two? The shattered Grecian column holds it up and not a child's innocent head, but still if he were to miss his aim he might yet have a second bolt to put through the heart of a convenient tyrant. There's no shortage of petty men who will sacrifice their children's birthright for a mess of pottage, then or ever. Come Sweet William, and together let us refresh the Tree of Liberty.
